Wigan Athletic are a young club with lofty ambitions and having reached the pinnacle
of the English football ladder, the Club goes from strength to strength.

Honduras, Holland, Spain, Ghana, Trinidad & Tobago, South Korea and Columbia - the Club is now
established as a worldwide brand, known to footballs fans the world over. The 2009 - 10 season

itself yet further in the Premier League.
Wigan Warriors, widely regarded as the most famous Rugby League team in the world are based and play
all their home games at the magnificent DW Stadium here in Wigan.
The team wear the famouns Cherry & White hooped shirts for their home fixtures and the club is owned by
Ian Lenagan. They currently hold the Super League record attendance of 25,004 for the Good Friday fixture with
local rivals St Helens in April 2005. The club paid a world record fee to acquire the services of GB forward
Stuart Fielden in 2006.
